Angela Watson began her violin studies at the age of five at the University of Tennessee Knoxville Suzuki program. She attended the University of North Carolina School of the Arts where she earned her Bachelors and Masters Degrees in violin performance.

As an orchestral musician, Angela has performed with classical artists including Van Cliburn, James Galway, Awadagin Pratt, Midori, Schlomo Mintz, Gerard Schwartz, Stephen Hough, Ransom Wilson, John Mauceri, Lang Lang, Itzhak Perlman, Pekka Kuusisto, Han Na Chang, and Renée Fleming, and a broad range of contemporary artists including Randy Newman, Chris Thile, Pink Martini, Kristen Chenowith, Chris Botti, Andrea Bocelli, John Mayer, Alicia Keys, Herbie Hancock, Josh Groban, Natalie Cole, Earth Wind & Fire, America, Ben Folds, Boyz II Men, Colin Mochrie and Second City, Stevie Wonder, and for the Grammy Awards.

Angela has been teaching violin for over fifteen years, with faculty positions at several music schools and community colleges before starting her own private teaching studio in 2012.
